Celestial Navigation - New Sextant

The downfall with celestial navigation is that it needs to be sunny! It’s been overcast for several days. We can do accurate coastal navigation using different methods and tools, but right now we need the sun for this project. The sun has poked out twice for less than 5 minutes total in the last five days. We are designing a new sextant that we intend to patent and sell to help with some voyage expenses and finally have our first finish prototype. We have manufactured about 150 previous prototypes but finally settled on one…but we are are not able to test it without the sun! More updates on this to come soon…if the sun decides to present itself!
