On all our sailboats we have attached a knife to the mast. This makes a tool always available to cut free of entanglements and solve problems in emergencies. Here we attached an Ontario Knife SP-8 machete with a Cleveland Kydex sheath to the foremast. A duplicate setup was also attached to the mainmast.
Wow that would take care of a lot of problems….😅
