Engine “Maintenance” Became Engine Rebuild
Our work started. And much work was to be had!
Nick took the entire engine apart, checking for damage and to see what might have gone wrong.
He cut into the oil filter just to find it to be full, full of metal particles! A possible clue?!

He also found that a huge gasket possibly had slipped an 1/8 of an inch ( about 3mm), thus sending oil meant for crankpin #2 to all the wrong places.

#2 piston connecting rod had a bearing totally demolished, ground to almost nothing.
