Sharks Like To Eat Shiny Rotators.

One of the projects for today was making a spare taffrail log rotator...aka fish. The old one is brass, the new one is aluminum. Hopefully it isn't too shiny...maybe I'll paint it. We also made a mounting shoe for the recorder. A taffrail log is a mechanical distance measuring device that mounts on the stern, it is useful when using celestial navigation or when dead reckoning. Tomorrows project will be to mount the shoe on the stern of the Gem.
