Yay!!! Good news!

Our shaft is NOT bent, although we know we hit something in the Yazoo River which made us think that it was.

Nick checked it out, again, in more detail, and found that us hitting whatever we hit, probably moved the engine a tad bit and misaligned the shaft.

We will end up having to haul the boat out, hopefully in Panama, as the cutlass bearing is showing wear due to the strain from the misalignment.

In the meantime, we are waiting, still, for our weather window to head on our way South... and, enjoying! 😉

With the amount of paperwork it took to get here they should just issue us passports. LOL. We are waiting for the right wind to sail 350nm east. It’s a tough place to sail out of due to strong currents and prevailing winds.
